Energy And Vibration Levels: Why Raise Yours?

You hear a lot about vibes, vibration, energy and other similar terminology these days, but what does it mean, and why should we want to raise our energy and vibrations anyway?

I remember back in Grade 10 Physics Science class when the Instructor taught us the Law of Conservation of Energy, stating that “energy can neither be created nor destroyed; energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another.” We learned about objects and vibrations, referencing the oscillating and vibrating movement of atoms and particles caused by energy. And how even solid objects like tables are actually made up of microscopic vibrating atoms that receive, store, and emit energy. In a nutshell, every single living and non-living thing on this planet is made up of energy and vibrating at a certain level. Every. Single. Thing.

With those facts in mind, we begin to understand how important energy is and more importantly how high and low frequency vibrations affect us in a very real way in every part of our body, mind, being and beyond!

We have all had “one of those days” that start out “bad” and just seem to get worse as the day goes on right? You wake up late because your alarm didn’t go off, you rush out of bed, stub your toe, maybe curse and swear while you make your way to the shower only to find there is no hot water! And it just seems to carry on as you discover there is no coffee, your car is sluggish and doesn’t start up right away, your favourite parking spot is gone when you arrive at work, and you walk into the office feeling like you really should just turn around and go back home…how can this day get better…or any worse you think?! Argh!

Is there anything we can do to sway the events back over to smooth and easy? Yes!

Let’s think back again to high school and what we learned about Newton’s first law of motion – “An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. And energy in motion stays in motion.”

And you’ve likely heard the Law of Attraction that states that “like attracts like.”

So back to our crappy morning of mishaps and “bad luck”…

Now could it be that if we just stopped and stood still for a few minutes (right after the toe stubbing seems like a good time…?), took some deep breaths, did a couple of brief stretches and reminded ourselves that we have the opportunity to shift our day and our perspective then this could have all turned out differently?

Well, I can tell you first-hand that it DOES make a difference! It helps create a big shift in your energy and personal vibration level to breathe deep and regroup. And the goods news is that it only takes a few moments for this shift to occur.

So maybe you do wake up a bit late, but realize you actually still have plenty of time. Whew! And ok, so there really isn’t any hot water, but you decide to use the new dry shampoo that you bought a while back and still haven’t tried. And guess what…your hair turns out fabulous! You think, “why don’t I do this more often?” And maybe there still isn’t any coffee, but you decide you’ll have tea instead, and it tastes delicious and is a nice refreshing change from coffee. And when your car doesn’t start up right away, you take a few more minutes to breathe and just “be”. Your car eventually does start and gets you to work safely and on time. Yes, someone did take your favourite parking spot, but you noticed there is a really nice one over by some lush trees and flowery bushes you’ve never noticed before. And hey, it doesn’t hurt to get a couple extra steps in on the way to the front door, does it?

So did your intentional pause after the toe-stubbing incident actually shift your energy and vibration level to help to create a more positive day? And did the gentle and patient energy you chose to step into impact your overall “being”? Is the World actually rising up to meet you at your high vibration level on this fabulous morning to show you things you hadn’t noticed before and likely wouldn’t have been, it not for the chain of events!?

Let me tell you, I have had my fair share of “bad luck” and low vibration days and times in my life. It was frustrating and actually pretty scary to be feeling such lack of control. I’ll be honest, it did take some effort and purposeful intention to get here to the “high vibe life” but once I began consciously pausing and shifting my focus to more positive thoughts, I noticed a significant difference fairly quickly. Sure, things still go wrong and sometimes life is damn difficult, but I feel so much more at peace now and definitely better able to handle the stuff that comes my way. I have tools in my toolbox!

Some of the simplest and quickest ways I’ve found to help shift my perspective and change my energy/vibration are – hold a Crystal such as Selenite, Rose or Clear Quartz while taking deep breaths, drink a tall glass of water, imagine sunset or sunrise on one of my many favourite beaches, smile to myself or at another, think of three (or more) things I’m grateful for that day, take a brisk walk in nature, have a hot Epsom salt and essential oil bath, give someone a big hug (or hugging yourself or your furry family works too), sing out loud and finally you can’t go wrong with listening to some upbeat danceable music! ??

I say the proof is in the puddin’ so give it a whirl the next time you wake up and things are headed sideways. Take a few minutes of pause, time to reset yourself, breathe, and it never hurts to toss in some extra gratitude for good measure. You may just be pleasantly surprised how “one of those days” turns into “the best day ever!” ☀️

Wishing you all peace and good vibes. ? xx
